European City Cards iPhone App

On Friday 11th June 2010, European Cities Marketing launched the first iPhone application to serve as a mobile tool for discovering 33 cities spread over 19 different European countries. The tool has been developed by Big Top Multimedia for the European City Card group. The group consists of 33 cities who work together to develop city cards for visitors.

City Cards are a great way to see the sights when on vacation and at the same time, save money. City Cards give the bearer discounted admission to a range of top visitor attractions, and in many cases offer a range of money saving special offers on food, drink and shopping.

The City Cards iPhone app allows users to explore the visitor attractions available in over 30 European Cities. All of the attractions listed in the application are mapped, so the user can easily find their way from their current location to the attraction that they wish to visit.

The application also provides users with information on where they can purchase a city card which will give them discounted admission to all of the attractions listed. City Cards can be ordered online by vistiing the City Tourist Board web sites or can be obtained from Tourist Offices in the city. Download it at the App Store!

Serving over 6 million unique users with more than 40 million pages of tourist information. Each month the site delivers over 250 Gigabytes (the equivalent of 55 DVDs!) of tourist information to users from around the world.

A fully bespoke solution, the Dublin Pass web site which offers a powerful selling platform for a specific product. The site has delivered sales of over 2.5 million Euro.

European Cities Marketing is the worlds leading network of City Tourist Offices and Convention Bureaus for sharing expertise, working together on an operational level, and creating business opportunities. European Cities Marketing is promoting and linking the interests of more than 134 major cities from 32 countries. Big Top Multimedia designed and built three web sites for the organisation.

europeancitiesmarketing.com - The organisations main web portal offering information, news, events, member listings, and a destination finder application to help conference organisers choose a city location.

europeancitiesmarketing.net - A corporate extraranet applicaiton which allows almost 500 members to share information and documentation accross 134 major European cities.

europeancitycards.com - A marketing web site for for 30 of Europe's most popular cities who now offer 'city cards'. City Cards offer great value, convenience and variety. They are the essential tool for sightseeing.

 

Culture Night

Culture Night has grown to include over 100 of the city's arts and cultural organisations with the vast majority opening until 11pm and their very own free events programme for young and old, which is expected to attract in excess of 100,000 people this year. Big Top Multimedia designed and developed the web site for this prestigous event.
