E-marketing
E-marketing uses internet marketing strategies to promote your products
directly to consumers. Success in online marketing requires the marketeer
to think about attracting and serving visitors in a creative manner. We
have used a range of internet technologies to ensure that our clients
achieve the success that they need.
This has ranged from simply providing people with the information and
expertise that they need to access existing commercial opportunities,
to using cutting edge technology to steal a march on competitors.
Typically e-marketing involves the use of any or all of the following:
direct email marketing, search engine optimisation, and opening new channels
of communication with technology such as RSS.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
Search engines can provide you with up to 85% of your traffic, but getting
the ranking your site deserves on the major search engines can be very
difficult. Let us take the hassle out of trying to get those search engines
to take note. Click here to find out more.
Email Marketing
E-mail - the Internet's most powerful application - is now a dominant
application for interactive marketing. We can help you promote your business
through developing compelling email newsletters which you can send to
your own opt-in mailing lists‡. Click here to find out more.
RSS - Really Simple Syndication
A very effective way of enhancing your online presence is to open new channels of communication with your customers. RSS is a new technology that lets you do just that.
RSS stands for 'Really Simple Syndication'. It allows a customer to subscribe to a "feed" containing the content you want them to have. Once subscribed, all of the content from your web site will be delivered directly to your customers.
RSS can also be used to permit other web sites to carry automatically updated headlines from your web site with links back to your site. Increasing your traffic and improving your search engine ranking! Click here to find out more.
Dublin Tourism is the official tourist board for Dublin. We
provide Dublin Tourism with site development,
marketing, consultative and development services. Since we started
working with them we have grown visitdublin.com from a small site serving
a couple of hundred users a month to a large tourist portal containing
over 3,000 pages of information and serving up to half a million users
per month.
Online Promotional Initiatives have included:
Email Marketing
Consumer mailing list has been grown from 0 to
over 70,000 subscribers. Subscribers receive regular full colour
email newsletters promoting Dublin as a holiday destination, and providing
them with information on major events, and special deals & discounts
for visitors.
Online Competitions
Online Competitions
to win such prizes as a luxury weekend in the
city are run on a regular basis in conjunction with the tourism trade
in Dublin. They provide visitors with an added reason to return to
the site and provide local businesses with a great promotional opportunity.
Downloadable Dublin Screensavers
These
provide users with an opportunity
to put “Dublin on their desktops” and once installed provide
the company with a continuous advertisement for the city as a tourist
destination in the users home or place of work.
Dublin browser toolbar
The “Dublin Coolbar” was developed
to allow users to download and install a toolbar on their Internet
Explorer. This toolbar provides instant access to all Dublin
Tourism web site content through a search box, and through toolbar
icons. The bar is updated automatically through an XML file which
it reads from the Dublin Tourism server each time the computer goes
online.
Multiple Delivery Platforms
Delivering web portal tourist information to users on a wide variety
of platforms - WAP, PDA & i-mode sites have been developed for
Dublin Tourism which provide the same breath of visitor information
as the main site. The aim is to let users have “the tourist
office in your pocket”. The i-mode site was launched in
October 2005 and Dublin Tourism was one of the official O2 launch partners.
RSS Feeds
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) has permitted Dublin
Tourism to “free” it’s web site content and
provide tourism information to individuals and other web sites using
RSS feeds. These feeds can be read by individuals using newsreader
applications, or they can be used to populate other web sites with
up to the minute information on Dublin. They are already attracting over 200,000 downloads per month.
Touch Screens
We have used internet technology to deliver
web portal tourist information to visitors on the ground through touch-screen
information kiosks in locations throughout the city. The
information from the Dublin Tourism web servers is re-formatted and filtered
to suit the Touch screen kiosks, providing visitors with self-service
access to a vast amount of data on what to do and where to go in Dublin.
Dublin Pass
We have provided a bespoke internet solution
to permit Dublin Tourism to provide web users with the opportunity
to purchase the Dublin Pass city card online, providing them with great
discounts on major Dublin visitor attractions. The system registers
the purchase and notifies the card tracking system. Within 2
minutes any purchase is visible on the tracking system and can be seen
by tourism centre staff. For those wishing to do so, a card may
be bought online and collected from one of the Dublin Tourism offices
in the city days, hours, or even minutes later.
‡Note: We do not, and will not, support or
assist any organisation in sending unsolicited SPAM email.
